Specialist Games

Me and long-time gaming companion Headologist have always been fans of the Oldies - that is, Games Workshop's Specialist Games range.  We've been lucky enough to snap up some of the lovely models before they're discontinued by GW.  The rules are something from a bygone era, and we always enjoy the detailed-yet-intuitive, characterful scenarios they produce.

The main systems we play are Battlefleet Gothic, Necromunda and Mordheim  There are a few pictures below from each below to whet your appetite.  Click the links to the tags above, and you'll see the latest on these projects.  You can also see the reports from the two campaigns we have run - BFG and Necromunda.

Necromunda

My Necromunda Gang is led by Heirodeacon Varn, and is a band of Cawdor-Redemptionist hoods (geddit?)  They have most recently been spotted in the area of Bilgewater Creek, contesting the area with several other gangs.  Amongst their weaponry are such diverse elements as fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Emperor, and nice red uniforms—oh damn!

Battlefleet Gothic

The 14th Light Crusier Squadron is a backwater fleet that's found itself thrust into the line of fire (literally) as a Chaos raid is launched into Imperial territory.  We're still technically on the first campaign at the moment which is still all to play for!

Mordheim

Mordheim is a cracking game that allows us to scratch the 'Warhammer itch' without buying whole armies.  Huzzah!  I've put together a Mordheim warband led by a rather nasty bunch of vampires, consisting otherwise entirely of zombies.
